The Family

Kindra LeFevre

Co-Executve Director

As a former magazine editor and marketing and public relations professional, Kindra is a certified word nerd who, on occasion, wields an MBA. In 2014, God called her to quit her full-time job to be a stay-at-home mom. Since then Kindra has been accepting challenges and opportunities into which God has invited her such as becoming the volunteer communications guru at Oikos Church and part-time executive assistant to Mike and Sally Breen, co-founders of 3D Movements.

Kindra grew up in a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri, where she met her husband, David LeFevre. They are blessed with two children, Levi and Alexia. In 2012, they co-founded a nonprofit, RighTrak Industries, to help those in poverty reach self-sufficiency through collaborative, Christ-centered community. They are incredibly grateful that God called them to be involved in planting Oikos Church and love being a part of this family on mission. You can follow her family on mission through her blog, For the Love!.

David LeFevre

Co-Executive Director

David is child of God, husband to Kindra, and father to Levi (2) and Lexi (1). He is a business attorney by day but has heard the call to help the least of these. David’s career path has been anything but straight, but he found a way to merge nearly all his interests by discipling folks in poverty and helping them become self-sufficient through RighTrak Industries, his brainchild. David is a member of the West U Rotary Club and an elder at Oikos Church. Much of the inspiration for RighTrak Industries came from those he met in both organizations, and for that inspiration David is thankful and forever indebted to them.

Jim doesn’t talk much, but when he does, you should listen. He’s husband to Michelle and father to three daughters, Rachel, Christy and Annalise. During the day, he’s a district engineer for the Gulf Coast Water Authority and serves as an elder and a member of the board of directors at Oikos Church. Prior to his current engineering position, he retired from the City of Houston at age 46 and consulted for private industry and LINC Houston, a nonprofit ministry that helps people in need. He’s a University of Texas alum and received a master’s degree in environmental engineering from University of Houston. Jim’s quite the jack-of-all-trades. In his free time, Jim enjoys being the family handyman and cultivating a beautiful backyard.

He has lived in Houston for nearly 15 years and is married to Jeana, an incredible woman who has blessed him with two beautiful children. Michael is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and met the LeFevres at a Trinity social event back in 2011. Soon after, he and David began discipleship training together at Trinity. From there, Michael and David’s friendship grew, and he quickly became interested in David’s passion in developing and launching a missional community—now known as RighTrak—and was eager to join in serving others. After being hands-on for a little more than a year, Michael now helps lead RighTrak on its board of directors.

Manuel Sanchez

Manuel is a transplanted Californian who has called Houston home for the past 15 years. He is a graduate of the Salvation Army ARC and was loved back into society by God and the Christian, holistic, missional community of Ecclesia Church. Manuel’s life’s work is to share the good news of God’s love.
